  • George Washington Inn

    Located along the Strait of Juan de Fuca between Sequim and Port Angeles, George Washington Inn offers luxurious accommodations just minutes from Olympic National Park. The Inn is modeled after our first president’s Mount Vernon estate in Virginia and is surrounded by over 5000 lavender plants. Whether hiking at Hurricane Ridge, whale-watching among the San Juan Islands, exploring the beaches along the west coast, or taking the ferry to Victoria, Canada, you’ll come home to luxury and modern amenities in this majestic inn reminiscent of colonial America.

  • Amenities:

    All rooms are king rooms with luxury linens, two-person spa tub, shower, all-season fireplace, large HDTV, small fridge, robes, slippers, hair dryer, and bath amenities. A full hot breakfast is included in the room rate and is served each morning at 8:30. We are happy to accommodate dietary restrictions (please let us know prior to your arrival) and requests for a to-go breakfast for guests who wish to get an early start on the day.  The General's Suite and Presidential Suite also have a convenience kitchen with microwave and coffeemaker.  The Surveyor's Retreat and Mount Vernon Retreat have mountain view from the bedroom (the Mount Vernon Retreat also overlooks the lavender field), while the other three rooms have ocean view from the bedroom.  Martha's Suite is a ground floor room and can accommodate a third person in a semi-private alcove with daybed.

    Policies:

    Rates

    All of our rates are per night, based on single or double occupancy, and include a hearty traditional breakfast. A third guest is permitted in Martha’s Suite at a rate of $30 per night. Applicable tax is additional. All rates and policies are subject to change.

    Minimum Stay

    A two-night minimum length of stay is requested. Occasionally, particularly in the off-season, we will accept a 1-night reservation. During the peak season, there may be a room available for 1 night between two reservations. If you have any questions about availability or need to request a single-night reservation, please call us.

    Deposits

    Full deposits required for stays of 1-3 nights. 50% deposit required for stays 4 nights or longer with the balance due upon arrival. Deposits will be refunded less a $35 processing fee per room as long as cancellation is made at least 14-days prior to arrival date.

    Check-in

    Check-in time is from 4 PM until 8 PM.

    Late or Early Arrival: Please call the Inn directly if you plan to arrive earlier than 4 PM or later than 8 PM. We will make every effort to accommodate your needs while assuring that other guests are not disturbed or inconvenienced.

    Cancellations

    Due to our small size, cancellations affect our Inn significantly. We have a strict 14-day cancellation policy in place. Cancellations for any reason whatsoever (cancelling in full or in part, meaning shortening the reservation) made within 14 days of arrival will result in forfeiture of any deposits, and the full amount due will be charged. Deposits will be refunded less a $35 processing fee per room as long as cancellation/shortening is made at least 14 days prior to arrival date. A no-show, late arrival, or early departure, due to any circumstance whatsoever (including weather), is considered a cancellation, as is any change in arrival or departure dates. Within the 14-day window, if we are able to rebook one or more nights of your cancelled reservation, we will provide an appropriate refund to you.

    We realize that cancellations are often beyond your personal control. Guests who have concerns about this may wish to consider Trip Cancellation/Trip Interruption Insurance to protect against any and all unforeseen eventualities including sudden illness in the family, airline & boat cancellations, any weather-related reason, etc. For this reason, we recommend purchasing travel insurance for peace of mind.     Pets

    We love pets. However, we cannot accommodate them in the Inn.

    Age Requirements

    George Washington Inn is equipped to accommodate travellers ages 16 and above. To request any exception to this policy, you must contact us prior to making your reservation. We reserve the right to cancel a reservation without refund if a guest arrives with a younger child.

    Excessive Cleaning / Damage In the rare event that a room or its contents are damaged due to extreme guest negligence, we must assess a cleaning or replacement charge equal to the fee needed to resolve the damage.
